Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh gets stroppy during radio interview

SNP MP Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh got a tad stroppy during a radio interview with BBC Radio 5live host Emma Barnett.

Emma Barnett reeled off NHS Scotland statistics after suggesting people were labelling the SNP a "single issue party".

Ms Barnett got into her stride saying: "You are becoming a single issue party. What would you say to that? This is what people are getting in touch to say. If you were to talk about priorities there has been a further decline in the number of Scottish NHS patients who begin treatment eighteen weeks after referral, figures have shown.

"Figures up to 31st December last year show 83.8% of patients started treatment within eighteen weeks - that’s a fall from 87.1% in a year earlier."

A released video of the clip shows Tasmina Ahmed Sheik's obvious annoyance when she snaps back: "Well I am hoping you are going to thyme off list of, erm, England successes in both these departments once I’ve finished answering your question. So to come back to..."

Before Ms Ahmed Sheikh could get any more out Emma Barnett jumped in with: "Well England’s not trying to leave Scotland".

Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh snaps again with: "But getting on with the day job is surely the job of the Prime Minister and First Minister wherever they may be governing".
