It has been more than a couple of months since Michelle Thomson was notified that she would not face any criminal proceedings. The Crown Office concluded that there should be "no criminal proceedings at this time".
The Crown Office said this was due to an "absence of sufficient credible and reliable evidence", with the decision coming after "careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case".
We reported in August that Michelle Thomson hadn't heard from Nicola Sturgeon, but would welcome a conversation and an apology.
Although no charges were brought against her, Ms Thomson was told that she was not eligible to stand for the SNP in the 2017 General Election.
Reports suggest Ms Thomson has been told she must use the SNP Website in order to rejoin the party. She resigned the whip when the police investigation into her mortgage dealings came to light.
