SNP Candidate Paul Wright allegedly posts 'sickening' images to Twitter

The SNP candidate selection process is being called into question once again as their candidate for Angus has been accused of posting 'sickening' images to his Twitter account.

Paul Wright is due to stand for the Brechin and Edzell ward.

Scottish Conservative Graham Simpson, MSP, said: “These images are sickening and appalling, and it’s no wonder that there were calls to deselect this candidate.

It is staggering that the SNP felt that it was appropriate to put him forward for this May’s elections, and I’m sure voters will make their disapproval clear at the ballot box.”

It is also thought that MSP Mairi Evans was alerted to the images being posted - but it is unknown what action, if any, she took.

An SNP spokesperson is quoted as saying: "Mr Wright accepts that these posts were inappropriate and removed them shortly after he posted them."

Are the SNP not bothered that the images were classed as pictures showing "acts of bestiality" and that they could be illegal to possess?
