The BBC have made changes to their weather maps - favouring a new "flat map projection" style.
The previous BBC weather map caused uproar with SNP MPs such as Angus MacNeil and Paul Monaghan.
In 2016, the SNP MP Paul Monaghan accused the BBC of making Scotland “literally appear less significant” through its weather coverage.
Ronnie Cowan has been credited with saying:
“It is good to hear the BBC have acknowledged they were misrepresenting the land mass of the UK and have addressed the problem. I hope it’s an indication that Scotland and Scotland’s issues will get a fairer representation on all topics, not just the weather.”
Moaning SNP MP Pete Wishart also had a go: "I was always amazed at the unionist’s ‘delight’ at Scotland being ‘shrunk’ by the BBC weather map and the mockery they threw at those who questioned it. They must be furious now at these ‘flat earthers’...."
